The front cover of each of these very attractive menus is printed in colour with a reproduction of a water-colour or pen-and-ink sketch by William Whitlock Lloyd taken from a book first published for P&O in 1890, who travelled with P&O and recorded every-day scenes abaord ship during a typical voyage from London to India. The illustrations on the six menus are titled:- "Sports: Or, a P&O Race Meeting" - "Mediterranean Weather" - "Favourite Spots" - "In the Bay" - "In the River" - "In the Indian Ocean".
